Toledo (7-4, 3-4) defeated Western Michigan 61-54 and lost 69-57 to Bowling Green. Freshman Khera Goss had nine points (4 for 9, 0 for 3, 1 for 1), four rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 32 minutes in the win; and four points (2 for 4, 0 for 0, 0 for 0), four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two turnovers in 32 minutes in the loss.

MENS BASKETBALL

Miami, Ohio (4-4, 1-2) lost 78-61 to Ohio University. Josh Brewer started for Miami and had two points (1 for 1) and two rebounds in eight minutes.

IU-East and Kyle Finch have not played since late November.

MENS TENNIS

Ian Deiters has transferred to Bellarmine and played in  7-0 losses to Mississippi State and Memphis. He lost 6-2 at No. 2 doubles and 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6 singles to Mississippi State; and 7-6 at No. 2 doubles to Memphis.

MENS INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD

Purdue participated in a four team meet with Indiana, Michigan, and Michigan State. The Boilers’ Jalil Brewer was second of eight in the shot put (60-10.75).

Rose-Hulman competed with Franklin and Bluffton in the Friday Night Spikes Series. Rose-Hulman’s Noah Thomas was first of 15 in the 60 meter dash and anchored the winning (two Rose-Hulman teams) 4 X 200 meter relay team. Teammate Tyler Speitel was third of five (all from R.H.) in the 800 meters (2:12.52) and a member of the winning 4 X 400 meter relay (two team from R.H. and two from Franklin). Franklin’s Matt Lee was 12th of 13 in the 3-000 meters (11:56.56).
