Girls face rough final two weeks

The lady Giants basketball team begins the final two weeks of their regular season by hosting Zionsville tonight. Ben Davis is 12-4 after winning 72-63 at Pike this past Saturday.
After tonight, the lady Giants visit Lawrence North Thursday and Center Grove Saturday (1:30 p.m. start) before finishing the season January 29 hosting Carmel.
The girls basketball state tournament draw is this Sunday. Ben Davis is the host school for the girls sectional, which begins February 2.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Ben Davis advanced to the final four of the Marion County tournament before losing 55-54 to Warren Central this past Friday. The Giants beat Beech Grove and Southport earlier in the tournament. Lawrence North was the eventual county champion.
The Giants (5-7) host Center Grove Friday and Decatur Central Saturday and end the month the following weekend with a Friday game at Carmel and hosting Attucks on January 30.
WRESTLING
The Giants lost 38-37 at Avon last week and conclude the regular season by hosting Plainfield Wednesday. Sectionals are January 30 at Avon.
SWIMMING
The Giants swept a dual meet with International Saturday with the girls winning 92-46 and the boys winning 103-48.
