Xavier (3-3, 0-2) defeated Indiana State 72-65 before losing 88-83 to Valparaiso, 106-59 to Connecticut, and 69-56 to Marquette. Nia Clark had 13 points (6 for 14, 0 f0r 2, 1 for 2), two assists, two steals, one blocked shot, and three turnovers in 32 minutes against ISU; 19 points (8 for 15, 1 for 2, 2 for 2), three rebounds, one steal, and three turnovers in 28 minutes before fouling out against Valpo; 11 points (5 for 16, 1 for 3, 0 for 0), one rebound, four assists, two steals, and four turnovers in 26 minutes against UCONN; and 17 points (8 for 16, 0 for 1, 1 for 1), three rebounds, three steals, one assist, and three turnovers in 32 minutes against Marquette.

Toledo (5-1) defeated Duquesne 77-74 and North Dakota 64-49. Khera Goss had three rebounds, one assist, one turnover and no points (0 for 5, 0 for 2, 0 for 2) in 32 minutes against Duquesne; and eight points (3 for 5, 0 for 1, 2 for 2), two rebounds, two steals, and two turnovers in 37 minutes against North Dakota.

Esezi Otomewo started on the defensive line for Minnesota (3-4) in a 20-17 overtime loss to Wisconsin.

Dawand Jones saw action for Ohio State (6-0) in the Big Ten championship 22-10 defeat of Northwestern.

MENS BASKETBALL

Jalen Windham played 14 minutes for Ball State (4-3, 2-0) in a 76-68 win against Western Michigan and had two points (0 for 2, 0 for 1, 2 for 2), one rebound, one assist, one blocked shot, and two turnovers.

Jeff Clayton played seven minutes for Taylor (5-5) in an 84-69 defeat of Rio Grande and had one rebound, one turnover, and one missed shot.

Michigan State (6-2, 0-2) lost 79-65 to Northwestern and 85-76 to Wisconsin. Aaron Henry had 11 points (5 for 10, 0 for 2, 1 for 1), two rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one turnover in 25 minutes against Northwestern; and 12 points (5 for 13, 0 for 1, 2 for 3), six rebounds, three assists, one steal, and seven turnovers in 31 minutes against Wisconsin.
