Mimms sees action at NC State

Delbert Mimms saw action for North Carolina State (1-1) in a 45-24 loss to Virginia Tech.
MENS SOCCER
St. Mary-of-the-Woods (3-1-1) suffered its first loss of the season, dropping a 1-0 decision to Brescia. Andre Aceituno was in the goal for 90 minutes for the Pomeroy and had seven saves while yielding the lone goal of the match. Four former Giants also participated for St. Mary, with Taiwo Anifowose taking one shot on goal, and Fausto Lopez-Ibarra, Victor Villagomez and Fatoke Anjolaolowa also playing.
Oakland City (2-2) defeated Harris-Stowe State 2-0. Reserve Isaac Torres took four shots, two on goal for the winners.
Marian (1-3-1) defeated Taylor 5-0. Jalen Rice assisted on the Knights’ third goal and took four shots, one on goal.
MENS CROSS COUNTRY
The University of Indianapolis finished third in a 6K triangular meet with Lewis and Southern Indiana. Hayden Baldwin was eighth of 21 for the Greyhounds and 38th of 56 overall in 21:08.3. The winning time was 18:41.4.
