Giants set for sectionals
Boys play Southport tonight

Ben Davis seeks to win its fourth straight boys basketball sectional starting tonight at Southport.
The Giants enter the sectionals having lost four of their last six games. Ben Davis plays host Southport at approximately 7:30 p.m. tonight following the 6 p.m. opener between Pike and Roncalli.
Ben Davis is coming off a 69-66 overtime loss to Tech.
“We’ve put the Tech game behind us,” senior guard Adrian Reese said. “Our focus is on beating Southport and winning the sectionals.”
The Giants own a 2-1 record against potential sectional opponents, having beaten Pike and Decatur Central and losing by two points in December to Southport. The winner of tonight’s game will play Decatur Central in the second game Friday while the winner of the Pike-Roncalli game will play Perry Meridian in Friday’s first game. The sectional championship is Saturday at 7:30 p.m. All games are at Southport.
