FOOTBALL

Starting wide receiver Noah Thomas caught seven passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns (26, 8, 73 yards), rushed twice for 10 yards, and returned a punt 4 yards for Rose-Hulman (4-2, 3-1) in a 45-0 win against Anderson

Brennan Gillis played for Ball State (4-3, 3-0) in a 52-14 defeat of Toledo.

Willie Ervin had one solo tackle, a 17 yard sack, for Garden City Community College (6-2) in a 37-7 win against Highland.

Grand Valley (6-1) defeated Northern Michigan 45-17. Starting strong safety Jailyn Harden had two solo tackles and assisted on another.

Reese Taylor had three solo tackles and intercepted a pass for Indiana (5-2, 2-2) in a 34-28 win against Maryland.

JaMichael Howleit played for  Manchester (2-4, 1-2) in a 30-21 defeat of Franklin.

Esezi Otomewo played for undefeated Minnesota (7-0, 4-0) in a 42-7 defeat of Rutgers.

Darius Randolph played for Ohio Wesleyan (5-1, 4-1) in a 28-13 defeat of DePauw.

Elijah Ball played for Purdue (2-5, 1-3) in a 26-20 loss to Iowa.

Mike Adams had one solo tackle and broke up one pass for St. Francis (5-1) in a 31-30 win against Indiana Wesleyan.

Jontae Dobson had three solo tackles and broke up one pass for Southeast Missouri (4-3, 2-1) in a 24-21 defeat of Jacksonville State.

Kailien Guillory played for Western Michigan (4-4, 2-2) in a 34-27 loss to Eastern Michigan.

MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY

Manamanya Opiew was third for sixth place Vincennes and 38th of 46 overall in 28:52.0 at the seven team Evansville 8K Invitational.

Franklin finished 14th of 28 teams at the 8K Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble.  Matt Lee was sixth for the Grizzlies and 210th of 274 overall in 30:48.4. Teammate Corbin Lee was seventh for Franklin and 222nd in 31:19.4.

WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY

Ball State won the five team 6K Ball State Classic, defeating Northern Kentucky, Miami, Anderson, and Transylvania. Maritza Rodriguez was third for the Cardinals and third of 36 overall in 21:50.2.

VOLLEYBALL

Purdue (12-5) lost 3-1 to Nebraska and won 3-2 against Ohio State. Shavona Cuttino had seven kills with three errors in 16 attempts and assisted on six blocks in four sets against the Cornhuskers; and 11 kills with two errors in 21 attempts, one solo block, six assisted blocks, one blocking error, and one dig in five sets against the Buckeyes.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Taylor McDaniel scored Franklin’s only goal at 67:42 in a 1-0 defeat of Manchester and assisted on the Grizzlies only goal at 67:34 in a 1-0 win against Anderson. Franklin’s record is now 4-10-1.

MEN’S SOCCER

Victor Villagomez took one shot for St. Mary-of-the-Woods (10-4-1) in a 1-1 tie against Oakland City.
