Jason Simmons will make his Ben Davis head coaching debut tonight as the defending 6A state champion Giants host Tech at 7 p.m. in Giants Stadium.

Simmons replaces Mike Kirschner, who is now the head football coach at Mount Vernon. Simmons is a former BD assistant and was most recently the head football coach at Noblesville.

The Giants graduated more than 50 seniors last season but are hungry to prove they belong among the state’s elite. Their motto for the season is “Why Not Us?”

Here is a look back at last week’s scrimmage against Westfield.
