Giants move into top spot
Boys rated No. 1 for first time in 15 years
December 13, 2017
The boys basketball team moved into the No. 1 ranking in Class 4A basketball this week. It is the first time since 2002 they have held the top spot.
The Giants are defending state champions and are off to a 4-0 start with wins over Southport, Franklin Central , Terre Haute North and Terre Haute South. Ben Davis visits No. 5 Warren Central this Friday before hosting Brownsburg on Saturday.
Senior Aaron Henry leads the Giants with 19 points and 10.2 rebounds a game. Last year when the Giants won the state championship, they were never ranked No. 1 and spent half the season out of the top 10.
