Fueled by a 1-2 finish in the 800 meters, the Ben Davis boys track team captured its 11th straight sectional with 157 points Thursday night at Southport. Pike was second with 128 points.

Junior Yonas Araya won the 800 in a time of 2:01.76 while senior Maurice Macklin was second in 2:02.69. That duo also teamed with junior Aaron Trejo and sophomore Antonio Vargas to capture the 4 by 800 in 8:20.33.

Other Ben Davis champions included senior Jamiu Lawal in the pole vault (12 feet) and senior Isaiah Campbell with the shot put (54 feet, 11 inches).

The girls host the regional Tuesday and the boys host the regional Thursday.
