WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

 Kaskaskia (6-4) defeated the MacMurray junior varsity 75-28. Jessie Kee led the winners with team highs of 16 points (5 for 13, 1 for 2, 5 for 5) and eight rebounds, and added two assists, one steal, and one blocked shot.

Texas State (6-8, 1-2) lost 61-39 to Utah. Amber Jones had nine points (4 for 5, 0 for 0, 1 for 1), four rebounds, two assists, one blocked shot, one steal, and one turnover in 28 minutes for Texas State.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Illinois State (12-4, 4-0) defeated Missouri State 74-71 and Indiana State 77-58. Tony Wills had six points (1 for 5, 0 for 0, 4 for 4), one rebound, and two assists in 35 minutes against Missouri State; and six points (2 for 3, 2 for 3, 0 for 0), seven rebounds, one assist, one blocked shot, one steal, and one turnover in 28 minutes against Indiana State.

Northern Kentucky (12-5, 3-1) defeated Youngstown 83-70 and Cleveland State 83-75. Brennan Gillisplayed 14 minutes against Youngstown and had three points (1 for 3, 1 for 2, 0 for 1), four rebounds, two assists, one blocked shot, one steal, and one turnover. In seven minutes against Cleveland State, he had one rebound and one turnover, and missed his only shot, a three point try.

Ohio State (10-6, 0-3) lost 76-75 to Purdue and 78-68 to Minnesota. Trevor Thompson had 11 points (3 for 7, 0 for 0, 5 for 6), seven rebounds, three blocked shots, one steal, and three turnovers in 25 minutes against the Boilers before being disqualified with five fouls. In the loss to the Gophers, he had 15 points (4 for 7, 0 for 0, 7 for 10), a team high 15 rebounds, one assist, one blocked shot, and one turnover in 28 minutes.

Vermont (12-5) defeated Maine 90-77 and Hartford 85-54. Dre Wills had nine points (4 for 5, 0 for 0, 1 for 2), four rebounds, one steal, and two turnovers in 15 minutes against Maine; and two points (1 for 2, 0 for 0, 0 for 2), one assist, one steal, one turnover, and team high in rebounds (7) and blocked shots (4) in 18 minutes.

Purdue’s Dylan Lydy lost 12-4 at 165 pounds in a 20-16 win against Northwestern.
