Avon ran away with both the boys and girls titles in the 50th annual Ben Davis Cross Country Invitational Saturday morning. The Ben Davis boys finished 8th and the girls finished 12th.

Avon won the girls race with 36 points and scored 54 to win the boys race. Pendleton Heights was second in the girls race and Zionsville claimed second in the boys race.

The Ben Davis boys were paced by Connor O’Day with a time of 17:06.11 to come in 38th place. Teammate Noh Pumphrey was a few feet behind with a 41st place finish in 17:15.42.

Senior Connie Brahm paced the girls with a time of 19:38.25 to finish 18th overall.

The invitational also was Senior Night for both the boys and girls.
