Boys earn MIC indoor track title
The boys track team captured its sixth indoor MIC Championship in the last seven years Friday night, scoring 109 points to second place Carmel’s 105 points.
Big performances come from the shot put, where Justin Brandon earned Elite Fleet honors; and high jump, where DeAndre Bluitt and Jailyn Harden tied for the MIC title to score 18 points.
Moussa Conde won the pole vault, Jaymin Miles was second in the long jump, the 4×800 team of Amanual Araya, Tim Anderson, David Behrmann and Tony Futrell took runner up honors and the 4×400 team of Jordan Wilkerson, Aaron Murray, Derrick Jones and Moussa Conde took first in the state’s fastest time.
