The NBA All-Star Game was first played during the 1950-51 season and has been an annual showcase of the league’s top talent ever since.
Where is the 2024 NBA All-Star Game?
Our City will host NBA All-Star for the first time since 1985. The Pacers’ home arena, Gainbridge Fieldhouse. We’ll host the NBA Rising Stars game on Feb. 16, the HBCU Classic on Feb. 17 and the 73rd NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 18. All-Star Saturday Night will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 17 and will feature the Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest and the Slam Dunk.
What is the format for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game?
For those who don’t know, the league changed the format from an untimed fourth quarter or conclude when one team reaches or surpasses the final target score, back to the classic matchup between the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. The traditional scoring with four 12-minute quarters will also return. NBA All-Star Game team captains have still been named to lead their respective teams. The captains are Giannis Antetokounmpo for the East and LeBron James for the West who will be setting the record for most All-Star appearances with 20.
What NBA All-Star activities will there be for fans in Indianapolis?
The NBA Crossover Concert Series event that will be held during All-Star Weekend from Feb. 16-18. On Fri, Feb 16 will be held by Zedd and T-Pain. Sat, Feb 17 will be held by Walker Hayes and Keith Urban. Sunday will host one of the most influential hip hop artists of his generation, and is often mentioned among the greatest rappers of all time, Lil Wayne.
