As the cost of living increases people have found themselves struggling more and more. Because of the rise of expenses in our economy, it has caused people to have housing problems, lose jobs, healthcare access, reduce savings, have food problems, increased debt, and more.
For example, before 2020, the U.S. The Department of Housing and Urban Development estimated that around 567,000 people were experiencing homelessness. After 2020, the estimation increased to around 600,000 people experiencing homelessness just in 2021.
It has continued to increase since then, now there are around 650,000 homeless people in our world.
People are losing their jobs at a fast rate because of business closures, reduced hours, and increased competition.
Many small businesses struggle with rising costs and decreased consumer spending which leads to closures because businesses cannot cover their expenses. Reduced hours are a big problem right now in the job market.
Companies are facing increased costs which may cut back on employee hours to save money, leading to reduced hours and pay for their employees. This leads to people quitting and going to find a new job which will eventually have the business looking for more employees with the same problem.
In this economy there are a lot of people trying to create their own small businesses and shops. Some people are doing some of the same things, so they are in competition with many other businesses while trying to make sure they will succeed with theirs. There are several economic changes in our economy that should be taken into consideration.
