Guns were found on students at both Ben Davis and North Central High School on Tuesday. The gun found at Ben Davis was unloaded and found on a student who was caught smoking in a bathroom. Wayne Superintendent Dr. Jeff Butts notified Wayne Township parents through email after the incident and credited our See Something, Say Something  initiative as a key asset in school safety.

At North Central, a student was found with a gun after administration found him out of area during the school day.

Since schools have started the first of August, guns have also been found at or near Muncie Central, Lawrence Central and Tech high schools in the Indianapolis area.
