Kevin Britt                
                                       Position: Assistant Principal for Data and Assessment
Years in Wayne Township: 31
Favorite memory of my time at BD: I have many of them but the best for me was when we came from behind to beat Warren Central in 1987.  Seemed to be the turning point which eventually lead to a state championship.
Colleges attended: Butler University for undergrad and Indiana University for masters
High school: Ben Davis
On my free time I like to: Fish, hike, garden, spend time with family and friends.
My advice to a high school student: Learn, even when you don’t want to.  Get involved with something and enjoy the time you are here.  Every year seniors and recent graduates say how fast it went and they wished they would have done more while here.
Favorite restaurant: Noble Romans:  Same as when I was here at BD as a student.
Favorite musical group: Eagles
Mike Lile

Position:  Assistant Principal for Curriculum
Years in Wayne Township: 22
My favorite memory of my time at BD:  Watching Larry Hurt teach art.  He always said the right thing at the right time.
College(s) attended:  Purdue University (B.A), University of Indianapolis (M.A.), Indiana University (Admin. Lic.)
High school:  Ben Davis.
On my free time I like to:  Make art.
My best advice to a high school student is:  Know that Ben Davis is the springboard to your future successes.  Then take that future seriously.

High School: Terre Haute South.
On my free time I like to : Travel with my family, read books on education and access and education/psychology research
My best advice to high school students is: Take advantage of the free and public opportunity to learn. Asks questions and learn from everyone you come into contact with- what rings true for you or what challenge. Be an avid reader!
Favorite restaurant:  El Toro. Can’t beat taco Tuesday!

My favorite memory of BD is: Everyday there are memories that I take away from here. this is a great place to be, and a great place to work for our students and staff.
Colleges attended: Indiana University (Bloomington) – Undergrad, Ball State University – master’s, Indiana University (Bloomington) – administrative degree.
High school: Huntington North High School, Huntington, IN
On my free time I like to: Coach kids sports, fish/golf, watch the Cubs, hang out with friends.
Best advice to a high school student is: Gain as much knowledge while you are here as possible. This is an outstanding place for learning and making connections with future plans and friends. Get involved in something that interests you and meet as many people as possible. Make sure you are having fun doing it all.

Matt Clodfelter

Position: Assistant principal
Years in Wayne Township: 10
My favorite memory of BD: My first day in the classroom I planned to use the smart board. Problem was, I didn’t know how. My students spent the day teaching me how to use it. This has been a common theme for my time here… my students tend to teach me more than I teach them.
Colleges attended: Ball State, University of Indianapolis and Indiana University
High school: North Putnam.
On my free time I like to: Hang out with my family, fish and hunt.
Best advice to a high school student: Work hard. Play hard.

My favorite memory of my time at BD: As a student, winning a state championship. As a staff member, my relationships with the students and staff.

On my free time I like to: Spend time with my family, travel.
My best advice to a high school student is: Set goals, get involved, work hard, and have fun.

Favorite musicians or musical acts: I love it all. This summer I was able to go see New Kids on the Block. Classic!

My favorite memory of my time at BD: Talking to students.

On my free time I like to: Be with my family.
My best advice to a high school student is: Be where your feet are.  Be present every moment.

Favorite musicians or musical acts: Old classical stuff like Crosby Stills and Nash, Grateful Dead, etc

Favorite memory of BD: Anytime I see student over come significant life obstacles too graduate and finish college.

Favorite restaurant: On the Boarder or Webber Grill.
On my free time I like to: Spend time with family and having cookouts.
Best advice to high school students: If you think you’re out classed, you are. You’ve got to think high to
rise.   You’ve got to be sure of yourself before you can win a prize. Life’s battles go to a stronger, faster man, but sooner or later a man that wins is a man that thinks he cans.
