Wayne Winter Games set for Feb. 11

Wayne Township Education Foundation and the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township will host the Wayne Winter Games & Giant Health Fair.  This power-packed day will deliver exciting fitness activities, a health fair, workshops & classes relating to fun, movement and health.  On February 11 the Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center will be abuzz with the sounds of New Year’s resolutions at work, the spirit of competition and fitness fun.

Team Competition   8 a.m.-10 a.m.   Advance registration is required for the competitive event in which teams of 4 will compete in a series of  team/partner activities.  Teams must include at least one female and one male  and all members must be 18 to participate.  There is a $40 Team Fee and competitors will receive a T-shirt.  Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three team.  Visit http://www.wayne.k12.in.us/wtef/winter_games_teamcompetition.asp for additional information.

FREE Family & Community Fun and Health Fair  9:30 a.m.-Noon    For our friends who want to sweat a little less, plenty of fun is lined up.  Participants will receive an award for completing their activity/event “passport.”  All you have to do is get your passport stamped at the various activities and booths.  Prizes will be awarded throughout the day.  More than 100 health & wellness organizations will be on hand with information, classes, demonstrations and Fitness Fun Stations including a 40 Yard Dash, Hula Hoops, Jump Rope, Ball Dribble and a Dance Station to name a few.  The Health Fair will include Health Screens, Healthy Meals, Massage, Bike Safety, Fire Safety a Zumba class and so much more.
