Butts to discuss education issues
Third House event is open to the public
Wayne Township Superintendent Dr. Jeff Butts is hosting an open discussion Saturday morning at Ben Davis to discuss education issues and how they affect our community.
Butts has invited local politicians to join him Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Ben Davis theatre for the First Annual MSD of Wayne Third House Legislative Forum.
Among the items Butts plans to discuss is a proposed referendum that could be up for voting in this May’s primary election. The state legislature recently opened its 119th General Assembly Session, where there are more than 300 education-related bills on their slate. Both the State and House are faced with more than 1,000 total bills to consider.
Butts has invited State Senators Mike Delph and Michael Young, along with State Representatives Robert Behning, Karlee Macer, and Justin Moed to this public event, which will run from 9-11 a.m. Representatives from the Wayne Township Board of Education will also attend. Please enter through Door 2.
