Next week is Spirit Week, homecoming and the first pep rally of the school year. It is time to show your Giant Spirit.

Dress-up days for Spirit Week are:

Monday – Breast Cancer Awareness

Tuesday – Camo

Wednesday – Decades Day

Thursday – Favorite College

Friday- Purple Pride

Also, Marco’s Pizza will be a Spirit Week sponsor and will help enhance a lot of our homecoming activities.

Marco’s has provided more than $200 worth of gift cards to be handed out to students who show the most spirit during spirit week and at the football game. There will also be t-shirts handed out to students sitting in Purple Rain.

The shirts will be for homecoming but funded by Marco’s and three shirts will have a surprise of free Marco’s Pizza for a whole year. Students should really attend the game in order to possibly win those prizes. Also, when entering the homecoming football game on Friday we will be handing noise makers to really bring up the noise level at the game. Marco’s Pizza has also donated those.

We are also doing door decorating contest for teachers where Marco’s Pizza will supply a reward for the winner of that contest as well.

Students will also be able to participate in a car decorating contest. Students should decorate their car with purple pride and the cars will be voted on by a Ben Davis staff member during the school day. That student will be announced by the end of the day and will be able to park their car inside the gates at the football game for everyone to see!

At the homecoming dance, there will be prizes to be awarded to students as well. We will be raffling off two prizes: a pair of all white Jordan’s and a pair of all white Beats. Students must be present at the dance in order to win these prizes. The dance will run from 8-11 and will be held in the commons. Tickets will be on sale during all lunches next week and are $10 a piece.

Homecoming court voting will continue next week as we announce the top three for each group on Monday and voting will close on Tuesday after school. The female winners will be announced at the homecoming football game and the male winners will be announced at the homecoming dance.
