Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch, directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, gives a fresh twist to the 2002 classic. With updated visuals and strong performances by the actors who played Lilo and Nani. Visually, the movie is great, and the soundtrack mixes classic Elvis tunes with a modern vibe, featuring some new songs produced by Bruno Mars. But the big talking point is the new ending: Nani heads off to college, and Lilo ends up in foster care with a neighbor. Some fans think this takes away from the original message about “ohana” (family), which has stirred up some debate. Overall, Lilo & Stitch is a visually stunning and emotionally moving update that pays homage to the original, but its new ending might not resonate with everyone.
