Henry shines in DePauw win

FOOTBALL

Demarco Henry  carried the ball 14 times for 102 yards, with a long of 56 yards, for DePauw (5-1) in a 69-21 defeat of Allegheny .

Asmar Bilal  had two solo tackles for Notre Dame (2-5) in a 17-10 loss to Stanford.

Tre’ Tunstill  led Thomas More (6-1) with 10 tackles, four solos and six assists, and broke up one pass in a 40-7 defeat of Waynesburg (PA).

Trine (5-1) defeated Kalamazoo 42-17. Joseph Domogalik led the Trojans with seven solo tackles.

St. Francis (6-1) defeated Concordia (MI) 44-6. Starting wide receiver  Montay McDowell caught three passes for 13 yards. Starting cornerback Nahawn Lewis had four solo tackles, assisted on another, and broke up two passes.  Sean Boswell caught two passes for 20 yards, with a long of 16, and carried the ball once for four yards.

Antonio Allen  had two solo tackles, one for a three yard loss, and assisted on two others for Marian (7-0) in a 66-0 win against Lindenwood-Belleville.

Jailyn Harden  assisted on one tackle for Grand Valley State (7-0) in a 41-3 defeat of Truman.

Justin Brandon  played for Buffalo (1-5, 0-2) in a 31-21 loss to Ball State.

Malik Limehouse  assisted on one tackle and broke up one pass for Anderson (1-6, 1-4) in a 20-13 loss to Defiance.

La shawn Johnson  played for Walsh (0-7) in a 47-14 loss to Wayne State.

Dallas Pitts  played for Wabash (5-1, 4-1) in a 24-3 defeat of Kenyon.

WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY

Running for Ball State at the 6K Bradley Pink Classic, Maritza Rodriguez  was sixth for the Cardinals and 169th of 267 overall in 23:00.4.

VOLLEYBALL

Purdue (12-7, 2-7) lost 3-0 to Penn State and defeated Rutgers 3-0. In the loss to the Nittany Lions,  Danielle Cuttino had 11 kills with five errors in 23 attempts (.261) and one service error. In the win she had 16 kills with four errors in 30 attempts (.400), one dig, and one blocking error. Shavonna Cuttino played for the Boilers in one set in each of the matches.

Franklin (12-10, 2-4) lost 3-0 to Transylvania and 3-1 to Bluffton.  SarahLabra had a total of six digs in the two matches.

IU-East (11-15, 4-6) lost 3-2 to West Virginia Tech and 3-0 to Rio Grande.  Madison Yoder had 16 digs, five service aces with two serving errors, and one kill in two attempts (.500) in the loss to West Virginia Tech and nine digs and one serving error against Rio Grande.

Spring Arbor (3-16) lost to Indiana Wesleyan, Siena Heights, and St. Francis by 3-0 scores. In the three matches,  Allysa Walker had 11 kills with 14 errors in 49 attempts, eight digs, one service ace, and one blocking assist with two blocking errors.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Franklin (11-3-0, 4-1-0) defeated Manchester 7-0 and lost 1-0 to league leader Mount St. Joseph. Freshman  TaylorMcDanieltook four shots on goal and had a hat trick in the win, scoring the Grizzlies’ third goal at 34:45, their fifth goal at 46.20, and their seventh goal at 71:00.

Southern Indiana (8-7, 5-7) defeated Drury 2-0 and lost 3-1 to Missouri-St. Louis.  Courtney Lofton was in the goal for all 90 minutes ion each match and had two saves against Drury and three against St.Louis.
