The boys basketball team improved to 2-1 Saturday night after a 65-63 double overtime win at Terre Haute North.

The Giants let a seven point lead slip away late in the fourth quarter before winning in two extra sessions. Senior forward Brennan Gillis led the Giants with 16 points while guards DeShon Tate and Datrion Harper each had 12 points.

The Giants host Warren Central Friday, Brownsburg Saturday and Northwest next Tuesday.

The 3-4 lady Giants basketball team travels to Southport on Thursday and Shortridge on Monday before hosting their annual holiday tournament on Dec. 27.

In other winter sports, boys and girls swimmers travel to Perry Meridian tonight before competing in the Marion County meet this week at IUPUI and wrestling is idle until competing in the Marion County tourney this Saturday at Perry Meridian and hosting the Giant Team Invitational on Dec. 27.

On another winter sports note, our freshman boys basketball team is off to a 6-0 start.
